BLOGGING THROUGH AFRICA

So this is my first stab at setting up a blog, and i'm watching my timer in this African internet cafe hoping it doesn't take too long to figure out. It's disconcerting in a way that the internet is getting so big, and creating such an enigmatic language- who the hell came up with "BLOG" and thought it sounded good? It's great that someone did, though, and I just wish they were sitting next to me showing me the way to do it...
ANYWAYS- here it goes. I'm setting this up similar to my journal- not by dates and times, but by events, thoughts, questions, troubles, and observations. Within a day I became bored of writing what I ate for breakfast, where we went, what got stolen, etc... it was meaningless detail, detracting from a larger picture which offers so much more. So I plan on adding on to this as I go- as my plans develop and my trip unfolds, I will bring as much back to this BLOG as possible. Be Love Only Go! Bring Life Of Gold! I'm reading The Poisonwood Bible, i'm sorry.
Please, write down your words- I will be able to hear your voices through these fiber optics on the other side of the world and smile... depending on what you say. Advice is much appreciated, debate is always stimulating, and love is always welcomed! SAFARI NJEMA... SAFE TRAVELS

The way you write makes me wonder if you are not just sitting in some hotel somewhere watching discovery HD documentaries and thinking up crazy stories. But really, your descriptive capabilities are AMAZING, I feel like i am watching a movie of your trip, in fact I might pay you to go on my next Vacation for me and just send me a blog so I can enjoy the trip from the comforts of my home. You should write a book, really, your interesting, funny, likeable, and have a moderately perverted sense of humor, I see a national best seller in your future for sure... Anyway, I would try and keep you posted on all the wonderful amenities of life in the states, but I wouldn't want you to think I am a dick. All I will say is that everything is comfortable here and sheltered and ignorant... So keep exposing yourself to the raw reality of life outside the bubble, and write about it as often and thouroughly as you can, because most of us have no idea, most of us are afraid to know... Take care and remember that you have a lot of friends thinking positive thoughts for you and wishing you safe travels and wonderful experiences. Peace, Nic

Absolutely amazing, I am so jealous of the expereince you are having, the people you are meeting, the things you are seeing and the memories you are creating. I wish i could be there bribing cops, and sleeping on roll bars as well. Keep up the great work on the blog and make sure to keep us updated on your Noahesque adventures. One question, what are you eating? I am not sure but I don't think they have and gluten free supermarkets there. Anyway have a great Christmas and an Amazing New Year!!!

As I sit here in the comfort of my heated Lake Creek apartment nestled in a million dollar home in the vail valley-looking down at my Jeep liberty filled with my skis, snowshoes, and so on....it's kind of sick. I commend you for giving it all up for raw life. You've always been quite independent and adventurous...but when we hung out it was you going hiking or us clubbing into th emorning hours...not getting thrown around Africa! Haha. Merry Christmas Noah!....you're missed, but I can't help but feel so happy for you that you're there doing this!....when most of us have a hard time trying a new bar, let alone seclusion in a new country! Live on my friend!
